On the day this episode aired, John Forsythe requested a meeting with the producers to discuss Dynasty's sudden tumble in the ratings charts. Following the meeting which took place on December 21, 1985, three actors were fired (George Hamilton (Joel Abrigore), Michael Praed (Prince Michael) and Joel Fabiani (King Galen)), four already filmed episodes were re-shot and five additional scripts were re-written. As Dynasty bottomed out at #18 in the ratings, a decision was made to get rid of Moldavia and Krystle's doppelganger storylines ASAP
